    Techniques Used:

    Correlation graphs for detection of E. coli (top) and ESBL-Ec (bottom) for samples from Imperial Beach and the Tijuana River. The modified IDEXX method correlated with membrane filtration methods using selective mTEC (r = 0.965, p < 0.001, n = 14) and TBX (r = 0.95, p < 0.001, n = 14) agars. Comparatively, the IDEXX method correlated with membrane filtration methods using selective mTEC (r = 0.978, p < 0.001, n = 10) and TBX (r = 0.975, p < 0.001, n = 10) agars.
